Chattanooga Football Club is seeking a Digital Media Manager, a crucial role in shaping the club’s online presence and engaging fans through digital platforms. This position involves creation of content across various digital channels, primarily social media and the Club’s websites.

Essential functions:

  • Social Media Content: Create captions, reels, stories, posts, on all of the Club’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X and YouTube). Content creation will use assets from graphic designers, photographers, and videographers as well as a mix of new content to be created by this position.
  • Marketing & Partnership Content: In collaboration with the marketing team, schedule and create strategic content to enhance corporate partnerships, drive ticket revenue, merch sales, and brand awareness.
  • Social Media Strategy & Calendar Management: In collaboration with the Communications & PR Manager and Marketing Manager, develop a social media strategy that fits the organization’s goals. From that strategy, create the Club’s long-term and short-term calendar to ensure the right content is scheduled at the right times.
  • Website Writing & Maintenance: In collaboration with the Communications & PR Manager, gather interviews and information in order to write high-quality match previews, post-match recaps, player feature stories, and corporate partner feature stories.
  • Community Relations: Coordinate and produce regular content that tells the club’s story in the community and showcases our partners.
  • Market Research: Analyze data to understand fan preferences, market trends, and best practices.
  • Assist other teams and staff members as requested and needed to meet organization’s goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a professional or major collegiate sports industry required. Prior experience working in soccer is preferred.
  • High level of soccer knowledge required.
  • Strong sports writing skills with demonstrated ability to tailor messages to varied audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in social media management, trends, and digital content tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, flexible, and not easily rattled when the stress kicks in.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when the team has a game.
  • Knowledge of brand strategy fundamentals.
