Chattanooga FC finishes preseason undefeated following 5-1 victory over Tennessee Tempo

Chattanooga Football Club wrapped up its 2025 preseason and remained undefeated after beating UPSL side Tennessee Tempo 5-1 in a closed-door match on Friday night at Finley Stadium.

Friday's match was the final tune-up before the team's 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season opener at Inter Miami CF II on Friday, March 7 at 7 PM ET.

CFC took an early lead in the eighth minute when Keegan Ancelin scored his second goal of preseason with a well-placed header set up by a perfectly-weighted pass from Tate Robertson on the right flank.

Jesus Ibarra made it 2-0 in the 24th minute with a composed tap-in off a strong build-up led by captain Alex McGrath. The goal was his second of preseason.

In first-half stoppage time, Minjae Kwak found Callum Watson alone in front of goal and Watson walked in his first goal of the night to make it 3-0. Watson completed his brace in the 58th minute with a calm finish off the assist from Milo Garvanian.

Tennessee Tempo pulled one back in the 68th minute to make it 4-1, but Peter Plougmand sealed the win for Chattanooga FC with his first goal for the club in the 86th minute, following a well-executed set piece.
