The UPSL is the largest professional development league in North America and is a national affiliate member of the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF). The league occupies the fourth tier of the US Soccer pyramid, just below the three professional tiers in the pyramid.
Why is CFC adding a 'II' team?
Chattanooga FC II will serve as a key bridge for the club's professional pathway. The team be a valuable platform for the club's top performers from its MLS NEXT teams and Academy teams, while also being a natural landing spot for professional prospects for the club's MLS NEXT Pro team.
"The addition of Chattanooga FC II in the UPSL gives us a much more clear and direct connection to our MLS NEXT Pro team, which facilitates the development of our MLS NEXT athletes," said Chattanooga FC Sporting Director Sebastian Giraldo. "It will give our MLS NEXT athletes the experience they need to become professionals, while also giving us the flexibility to have a place where our MLS NEXT Pro athletes can train if they are not quite ready to play in a first-team match."

What is the season schedule for Chattanooga FC II in the UPSL?
Chattanooga FC II will compete in the fall and spring seasons of the Premier Division of the Georgia Conference. Athletes do not need to commit for the full season and can play only fall or spring.
