Orlando City B emerged as the MLS NEXT Pro Team of Matchday 12 after securing a 4-0 win over FC Cincinnati 2 at their home stadium last Sunday.
The Young Lions extended their unbeaten streak at home in a thrilling match that witnessed goals from four different players.
The action commenced in the 26th minute when Jack Lynn found the back of the net, securing his seventh goal of the campaign. Lynn's impressive goal put him in a tie for third place in the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot race.
Minutes later, OCB's captain, Juninho, stole the spotlight with a stunning free-kick goal that earned him a nomination for Matchday 12's best goal. This remarkable strike not only marked Juninho's first goal for the club but also added to his two assists this season.
Adding to the scoring spree, 2023 MLS SuperDraft Shak Mohammed showcased his skills by netting his second goal in as many matches. The goal came after an excellent setup from Luca Petrasso.
Just before halftime, midfielder Imanol Almaguer capped off the goal-scoring frenzy with a powerful strike from outside the box, securing his first goal for Orlando City B.
With the victory over FC Cincinnati 2, OCB climbed to third place in the Eastern Conference standings and have now joined an elite group of three teams that remain undefeated at home this season.
Looking ahead, OCB will seek to build on their impressive Matchday 12 performance as they travel to face Chicago Fire II in the Windy City on June 15.
