Toronto FC II forward Julian Altobelli has won the Goal of Matchday 14 honor with 43.7% of the Twitter poll vote.
Atlanta United 2’s Aiden McFadden’s goal came in a close second earning 35.4% of the vote. Chicago Fire II’s Omari Glasgow and Colorado Rapids 2’s Oliver Larraz ended in third and fourth place respectively.
Altobelli's goal took place in the 60th minute of TFC II's match against New England Revolution II. The young Red received the ball near the top of the box, skillfully positioned himself, and unleashed a precise shot that found the back of the opponent's net.
This goal was crucial as it tied the match and earned TFC II a valuable point on the road.
The 20-year-old Altobelli, who has scored three goals this season, has been with TFC II since 2022 and developed in Toronto FC's academy. He has also represented the Canadian U-17 team in international competitions including the 2019 U-17 World Cup.
TFC II will now host the top team in the eastern conference, Crown Legacy FC, at York Lions Stadium on Friday, June 30.
