A Roberto Avila hat trick led Houston Dynamo 2 to a 3-0 win over Sporting KC II at Rock Chalk Park Sunday evening.
Avila found the back of the net in the 8th minute, in first-half stoppage time and from the penalty spot in the 55th minute to lead the Dynamo 2 to a third consecutive victory to start the season. He started the first two matches of the season, but tonight’s contest in Kansas City saw the winger bag his first goals of the season.
Dynamo Dos midfielder Marcelo Palomino had a chance to double the Dynamo Dos lead from the penalty spot in the 12th minute, but SKC II goalkeeper John Pulskamp came up big with a massive penalty kick save to deny Palomino his second goal of the season.
