In their final match on the road, The Foxes traveled to Ohio and took down Columbus Crew 2 in a resounding 2-0 victory. The match featured two red cards for Columbus as well as goals from Facundo Canete and David “Pachi” Polanco to earn The Foxes all three points on the road.

CCFC scored the first goal during the 26th minute of play, as Facundo Canete slotted a penalty kick into the bottom corner following a foul in the box on midfielder Jacob Evans. CCFC would double their lead at the end of the first half, as David “Pachi” Polanco grabbed his third goal in four games with a tidy finish past Crew 2 goalkeeper Abraham Romero.

The Foxes would see the game out until the end, comfortably taking the three points and earning their second clean sheet of the season.

Last Matchup

In the last matchup between Carolina Core FC and Huntsville City FC (HCFC), the match ended in a 1-1 draw, with CCFC coming out on top in the penalty kick shootout 6-5.

Huntsville was first to strike in the last matchup, as midfielder Jordan Knight scored in the 78th minute following a counterattack led by forward Adem Sipic. CCFC would respond just seven minutes later, as Josuha Rodriguez found the back of the net following a deflected shot from Facundo Canete.
