JC Martinez joins Carolina Core FC having amassed over 13 years of experience in coaching, working in various positions and levels. Since March 2016, Martinez has worked for the Houston Dynamo and Dash organization. Most recently, Martinez worked under CCFC Head Coach Roy Lassiter as the U20 Assistant Coach and helped the team towards their first conference title and Round of 16 appearance. In this role, Martinez will be responsible for working directly with Head Coach Roy Lassiter to help train and develop players at the club.

Prior to his time with the Houston Dynamo Academy, Martinez was with the Houston Dash of the NWSL from 2016 to 2017, where he served as an Assistant Coach.
