Chattanooga FC forward Jesus Ibarra has earned the MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 2 thanks to his stellar outside the boot strike against FC Cincinnati 2.
Ibarra’s goal earned almost half of the total votes, defeating other contenders like The Town FC’s Eduardo Blancas, Atlanta United 2’s Javier Armas and Timbers2’s Kyle Linhares.
Coming on as a second-half substitute, the 26-year-old scored twice in the span of 8 minutes against FCC2, with his standout goal occurring in the 60th minute.
Chattanooga FC went on to earn their first ever MLS NEXT Pro victory with a decisive 3-0 scoreline.
Rod Underwood’s men will look to replicate their Matchweek 2 success when they face off against NYCFC II at Belson Stadium on March 27th.
