In one of the closest votes in recent Goal of the Matchweek history, Columbus Crew 2 forward Gibran Rayo clinched the win by securing 51% of the poll vote.
Rayo's goal occurred in the 76th minute during the match between Columbus Crew 2 and Orlando City B. In a high-scoring, back-and-forth game, Rayo's long-range strike proved decisive, securing his team's fourth win of the season.
Other Goal of Matchweek 10 nominees included Crown Legacy FC’s Nick Scardina, FC Cincinnati 2’s Stefan Chirila and Colorado Rapids 2’s Antony Garcia.
Now in his second season with Crew 2, Rayo was a key player in last year’s MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference-winning team that nearly achieved back-to-back championships.
