July 7th marks Lamar Batista's 100th professional game.
Batista, 24, has played for five different professional teams over the last six years, including, LAFC, Portland Timbers 2, OKC Energy FC, and now RNY FC. Previously, in his 99th game, Batista scored his first goal with RNY FC, contributing to another Rhino win. Batista has started all 13 MLS Next Pro season games as an RNY FC defender.
When asked about his 100th professional game, Batista responded with, “Playing my 100th career game was a surreal moment. Happy it was with RNY FC and we got the 3 points that night. We have a hard working group full of talented players and an organization who cares about us. Eastern Conference champs and MLS Next Pro Cup Champions is where we want to finish.” Batista looks forward to seeing his personal growth with RNY FC and his own professional career.
