HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Aug. 30, 2026) Huntsville City FC earned a 4-1 victory over New England Revolution II on Sunday night, securing all three points in the first matchup between the two sides this season as the Boys in Blue continued their push for the playoffs.
New England opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Zidane Yáñez responded for Huntsville in the 24th minute to level the match. The score remained tied heading into halftime.
Huntsville came out strong in the second half, with Jordan Knight finding the back of the net in the 48th minute to give the Boys in Blue a 2-1 lead. The goal marked Knight’s third of the season.
Yáñez added his second goal of the night in the 66th minute to secure a brace and extend Huntsville’s lead to 3-1. The brace brought Yáñez to four goals on the season.
Charles Brunet then found the net in the 88th minute to cap off the scoring and secure a 4-1 victory for Huntsville. The goal marked Brunet’s first goal for the Boys in Blue in 2026.
The Boys in Blue take all three points on the road as the push for the playoffs continues. Huntsville City FC returns home Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. CT to take on rival Chattanooga FC at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium in the final home matchup of the regular season.
