Huntsville, Ala. (Sept. 21, 2023) – Inspired by Germany’s Oktoberfest, fans and beer enthusiasts can transport themselves overseas at Socctoberfest every Thursday evening in October at the Yellowhammer Brewing Craft Beer Garden inside the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium.
From 4-9 p.m. CT every Thursday evening through Oct. 26, Huntsvillians can head to the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium to enjoy Yellowhammer brews and soccer views at the decorated beer garden. Socctoberfest nights include a limited-edition Huntsville City Football Club Beer Stein, exclusive HCFC giveaways, soccer entertainment on the stadium’s video board, and traditional German food and drink. Socctoberfest nights are free to attend, and alcohol is available for purchase.
"One of the most fun and thriving places inside the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium is the Yellowhammer Brewing Craft Beer Garden,” said Chad Emerson, Managing Director of Business Operations for Huntsville City Football Club. “While our Inaugural Huntsville City FC season is winding down, we're excited to keep the energy up at the beer garden on Thursdays in October for fans and guests to experience our unique HCFC take on Octoberfest--SocctoberFest in the Rocket City."
Huntsville City FC’s will look to clinch its first ever playoff berth on Sunday, Sept. 24 against Chicago Fire II at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. Tickets for the match can be purchased here.
