Huntsville, Ala.(May 26, 2023) –
Huntsville City Football Club fell to New York Red Bulls II 2-1 at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. Chris N’sa scored his first goal for HCFC to equalize the match, but the visitors came away with the victory thanks to a second half penalty.
New York got on the board in the ninth minute, but Huntsville was able to equalize less than 10 minutes later from a set piece. A free kick from Tyler Freeman was headed into the opposite corner by N’sa to tie the match.

Red Bulls would grab the lead in the 70th minute on a penalty kick following a foul in the box by Joey Skinner. Huntsville had several chances to get a second equalizer, but the visitors were able to hold on for the win.
After the match, Head Coach Jack Collison and forward Tyler Freeman spoke to the media about the team starting slow, getting a goal on a set piece, and turning the page to next week.
