Chattanooga FC Women signs the University of Arkansas defender for the 2025 season!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 26, 2025) — Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) today announced it has signed defender Dejionee Anderson (pronounced Dee-shon-ee) for the 2025 Chattanooga FC Women's WPSL season, pending federation and league approval.
Anderson spent the 2024 season with the University of Arkansas Razorbacks and played in nine matches and started in one.
Prior to her time with the Razorbacks, Anderson started in 18 matches in two seasons with Daytona State, where she netted two goals as a defender in the 2023 season.
She has previous experience with Jamaica's youth national teams and was named as her high school's Sportswoman of the Year in 2019.
"Dejionee is a dominant defender with exceptional aerial ability," said Chattanooga FC Women Head Coach Juan Hernandez. "She’s strong, versatile, and comfortable at centerback but can seamlessly shift into the midfield when needed. Her dynamic style of play allows her to adapt to different roles while maintaining defensive stability and presence on the field."
"CFC is thrilled to welcome Dejionne to Chattanooga," said CFC Women Associate Head Coach Maryn Beutler. "Dejionne will be an integral part of our backline and team. She is a proven shot blocker, talented defender and fearless leader on every team she is a part of. We look forward to working with Dejionne and competing for championships with her this summer."
Anderson commented on the fervent support in the stands she is anticipating for CFC Women.
"It means a lot to me because I'm big on support, and I want to be in an environment where the vibe and energy is high."
