CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 8, 2025) — Chattanooga Football Club today announced that midfielder and captain Alex McGrath will be out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury. McGrath suffered the injury in the latter stages of the team's match against Atlanta United 2 on March 30, 2025.
McGrath started and captained the side in its first four matches of the season. He provided an assist in the team's first league match of the season and totaled 262 minutes in league play, while also playing all 120 minutes in the team's victory after extra time over Corpus Christi FC in the first round of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The midfielder from Spennymoor, England has made a total of 98 appearances for Chattanooga FC to date.
Chattanooga FC returns to action on Sunday, April 13 when it travels to face fellow independent club Carolina Core FC (3:00 p.m., Apple TV - MLS Season Pass).
